I had my last cigerette 24 hours or so ago. It actually wasn't as bad as I thought it would be. But mainly because I haven't left the house today.

There was one point where I had a thought that was like 'omg the shops down the road are going to close in 30 minutes, if I want any cigerette's I should go now or I wont be able to have one all night'

But I pulled through and played a game online. Boomshine!

Which was reccommended to me by someone on here.

:D

Day 1 is over with!

p.s not to gross any one out but has any one found themselves sweating a little bit more after quitting. I've felt over heated all day.

Sorry about the gross-ness.

Keep going

Well done Ayan, and now for the next 24 hrs,and the sweating could be caused by a little bit of anxiity or the fact that your body has not had a hit of nicotine for 24 hrs. As you read the many (recomended) posts on this site you will quickly find that side effects from stopping smoking are diferent with everyone. Some people talk about a tingling in the face, arms etc etc and this is your nerve endings starting to work again after you start smoking. Some people report many diferent things so again talk to your new family on this sight, and drink lots of water as this helps you to detox and yes even after 24hours. Our body is brilliant and will do its part to clean your body of all the rubbish that we have put in there. Bes of luck and talk soon.

Ayan

Well done on getting through the first 24 hours, thats really good to hear and we are all so proud of you, so a very big well done from me. :)

As for the sweating, i never did but then again i think everyone reacts differently to the withdrawel of nicotine from their bodies and i was on Champix at the time so im not sure if my body, kind of missed that part of the process, who knows all i know is i never had hot flushes etc. Im sure that they will soon ease off as its only the first day of your quit.

Anyhow, keep up the good work and dont let that naughty nicodemon back in as he is not welcome anymore.
