Eveing all, im sitting here waiting for the apprentice to start so I thought i'd write a small post.
I made myself a cup of coffee today and it tasted absolutely disgusting. Im not sure whether its the champix tablets making it taste like that or that im actually getting my taste buds back.
Strange considering i've loved coffee for the past 20 years and now i can't drink it! Oh well time to make myself a cup of tea

I know when i was on zyban last year i had lunch out about 3 days after i started it, i can remember tasting the fried egg and thinking OMG its off, so had the waitress take my plate and re do it.
My face must have been a picture when the next egg tasted the same as the first, i realised then it could have been the tablets lol

Hi Batwoman
Its def not you. I used to drink coffee until Sunday when i had my last cig and since then its tasted bitter and horrid so now im on Tea like you.
I dont know if its the Champix or taste buds working again but i am glad that so far thats the only thing that has tasted awful.
Hey! Glad I'm not the only one! I'm on 7 weeks but for the last 3-4 weeks I haven't had a single coffee... I just don't 'crave' it if that makes sense. Now if I picture a nice warm cup of tea I want on immediately!
I'm not on tablets or anything. I think for me, because I smoked so much while drinking coffee, evertime I had a cup of coffee and it reminded me of having a cig... but I suppose I don't want to be reminded of that any more because its just not a pleasant memory. I guess without realising it I gave up one of my smoking 'triggers'.
