Going very well so far, but I think today will be the biggest test of my quit so far. It's the first day back at work since my quit and there are so many smoking cues during the day!! I'm determined to resist!!!
Fresh patch on and ready to face it!
Wish me luck xx

Work for the first couple of weeks was definately the most difficult time for me... but it was also easy to not cave in because most of my co-workers thought I couldn't do it so it became a case of just proving them wrong
They ask me every week whether I've had one or not and its just so satisfying to just say N.O.P.E to them
Best of luck Captain, don't let those work mates pressure you into anything, show them how it should be done! Get the first couple of days over with, perhaps try and replace the fag breaks with a different routine, that way you won't have to keep thinking of distractions, you'll automatically just turn to something (puzzles, books, music, games etc).
You sound so positive and that frame of mind will put you in such a good position to conquer any little nuisance that's thrown at you.
Start counting in the weeks tomorrow, congratulations,
Like me I have done six days, physically fine but mentally urges and cravings still there.
Although have had social evening with wine and usually smoke loads but this time not so bad.Can anyone say if the cravings go away ever.
Good luck to all and May the force be with you.
Hi Tel,
You're doing great with six days in. I'm on my 7th now and I have to say that the urges are gradually getting weaker. Having read more 'senior' quitters' accounts here I don't think they actually go away completely, but they appear to diminish into a very mild and infrequent form.

Hi Captain!
Well done you, thats a brilliant milestone- onto counting in weeks as from tomorrow!!
Re the bit in bold- i dont really get 'cravings' as such (especially compared to the cravings i had in the first couple of weeks)..but i do occasionally get the 'oh i fancy a ciggie' moment, or the 'i used to have a ciggie at this time of day/with a cuppa and it feels odd not to now' kind of feeling, but they are very easily overcome now, and i am on day 71!!

Good on you with your day 71 (72 now!!) Claire. That's a great achievement!
I'm finding I'm not really getting cravings too much either, but I do feel tense if I'm not doing anything. That seems to be gradually lessening each day though. I've got to be very wary of that 'just have one' voice. I've fallen foul of that before, but not this time!
