I quit at 6pm last night so although this is the second day, it's less than 24 hours so I'm posting in the Day 1 Forum.
I'm using patches and so far so good. My thoughts are drawn to smoking quite often but I'm battering 'em off :D.
This is my second 'serious' attempt. My last one was 7 years ago and lasted 9months. I fell into the trap of being comfortable with quitting and that just one won't hurt. Wrong! Wrong! Wrong!. I won't be making that mistake again.
Anyway, just thought I'd introduce myself and the very best of luck to all other quitters!!.

It's great that you're trying again... specially after having done 9 months before! At least now you know the danger of getting too comfortable first hand!
Keep going strong and battering them cravings off!
as our lovely Sofia said it is great you are trying again and you know the dangers of letting your guard down. At least you can move on from that taking the experience of how it went wrong with you.
As you know in the early days the thoughts of smoking are almost always at the forefront of your mind but that does subside.
Good luck and keep posting oh and read, read, read this forum and links in peeps signatures - it massively helps (bad english I know)!

Thanks SLB.
They do say that you learn a little more with each quit attempt. I really could kick myself for weakening 7 years ago, but at least I know I can't do that this time without going back to square one!!

Take care
Thanks Tinkerbell (loving your name too :)).
I know where I went wrong last time and I won't be letting that happen again.
I have to say that so far it's really not too bad, but I'm also very aware of how easy it'd be to go to the shop a buy a pack. Such frivolous thoughts shall be forever banished!!
I've had a quick browse around and there are plenty of inspirational posts and signatures here. I think they'll be a huge help.
Makes me think of cereal so much I am gonna have some! Even though we don't get captn crunch in UK as far as I am aware I still know all about it from American TV lol.
Stock up on cereal, you'll know better than most if you made 9months before, but munchies will start soon *nomnomnomnomnomnomnom*

Hi Bumblebee.
I certainly know about the munchies. Sooner that than smoking though :).
