Great to see you here in day two! I remember buying a bed the size of a house (well nearly), with a memory foam mattress to replace the old cronky thing I had. Its good to treat yourself.

Keep reading it helps and also keeps you occupied. Gives you something to focus on, if you haven't already have a look at the links in my signature.

definatley plenty to distract myself today i run a charity and we have a big meeting tomorow so going to be rushed off my feet getting my house sorted this afternoon. Think the problems will hit when i go out tomorow night for a friends 30th forgot about that one when i chose my quit day. Thankfully most of my friends are non smokers so the temptation shouldnt be there. Thanks for all the supportive messages. M i sat last night going through peoples signatures reading all the info some of it is really interesting and quite helpful. Just counting down the next 20 minutes till my youngest daughter goes to pre school she driving mummy nuts this morning and causing me far to many cravings

Hiya Lottie

Had a challenge myself when I first quit as a friends birthday was the following saturday, 7 days later.

The little *hit also ran the cig under his nose whilst standing outside having a smoke! Knew alcohol + smoking friends had ruined previous quits (had even deliberately met smoking friends in past to justify relapse), so had a strategy, when it got too much I left rather than smoke. He also said to me that I was quitting at the wrong time as I was visiting my parents the following weekend, both heavy smokers, had a wedding the following month and a festival the month after and I realised then that there would never be a good time, that it was his need for me to smoke that made him selfishly want me to not quit and sadly for him all those reasons he gave would be enough to keep him smoking and he still is.

And do you know what Lottie, I didn't smoke at his party but left early, didn't smoke with my parents but went to bed early and faced loads of challenges that weekend which I've never needed to face again. The wedding nearly took a puff of a cousins fag but remembered I don't smoke just in time and made it through 3 days at a festival without a smoke.

In the september did the Great North Run, in my best time ever.

Quitting was the best thing I've ever done.

Never take another puff and keep going.

Just realised the date of your quit you have done so well. Still hanging in here almost gave in about an hour even went to the point of heading out to the shop but was saved by the arrival of the postman with lots of bills:o never been so happy to open bills cos it saved me. Now to get through the rest of the day somehow and get onto day 3. Dont remember it being this hard last time. Now to turn the music up and back to the housework. Think i came to write this to stop myself from doing it.:)

Day 2 - the worst day I think

Im on day 4 but day 2 was definately the worst. Everyone says day 3 is the worst but I was fine yesterday and have been fine today. Using the inhaler thingy just to take the edge off, but thats about it. Hope you get through today and have a good day 3 like I did

xx
