Well i made it through another day. I went to bed early again though so i've woken up fairly early. I might just stay up, hopefully go to bed tired tomorrow and get some decent sleep.

Looks like it will be a long day 4 then. But i'm ready for it. :)

You are doing great and Day 4 is a winner, you are over half way to a full week and then you will start to see a turn around, take yourself back and I bet you didnt exspect to stop for a day let alone four whole days, its a great feeling after a week and then it becomes a sort of competition with your self like you have to prove not just to others but to yourself that you can do this, and believe me we all think we cant but I did after 40 years so I know you can, stick with it and I promise it gets so much better, every day you will see a benefit in mind and body.

James, well on your way to your first week quit, it's a great feeling isn't it, and the further you go the better it gets. You've past those first few days when that nicodemon is going nuts kicking you around trying to get his own way, he'll start quieting down now, but don't be fooled, he's just thinking of cunning ways to trick you. Just remember how you resisted every urge and crave these first four days, and you won't go far wrong. There's different triggers that set us all off along the way, but just remember how strong and determined you are and you'll get by no problem.

The sleep pattern will come, I used herbal tea and a good book, off the caffeine completely and haven't gone back on it.

Enjoy day 4, Lorraine :)

Hi Jamangie, i'm not quite ready for sleep yet. I've got a 12 hour shift at work to finish then i can crawl into my bunk. I'm hoping this will be better than the last two days which i have to admit were quite torture.

Thanks skylark, Ash8. They say all the nicotine is gone now but it doesn't feel like it. I had a serious craving when i woke up a few hours ago which i find hard to believe was psychological and not a chemical pang.

Yup, i missed all the action in Bangkok lately, actually i was at home a few hundred kilometers away. Just a normal life where i was, if i didn't watch the news i would never of known about the troubles in Bangkok. I work offshore though, currently in India but we should be making our way to Malaysia very shortly.

Anyway, all cravings gone for now. And i'm feeling like i'm right on track.

Well done James you're nearly there - a whole week :D and listen to jamangie and keep your fluids up - I didn't and felt like hell at the end of my first week until I realised I was dehydrated.

Keep going :)

Thanks for the advice Pookie, most appreciated.

I have to say i'm a little disappointed in my Day 4. I don't feel any better than i did on days 2 and 3. I've been riding out some very strong cravings, headaches, pins and needles in my hands and generally just feeling like a zombie.

I'll get through it though, looking forward to Day 5. :)

Can't comment on CT as I used champix which takes the worst of the craves away but I'm pretty sure what you're feeling is normal. You've now got more oxygen in your blood than you've had for years and your body is just adjusting to it.

Hope day 5 is a bit better for you :)

I'm nearly at Day 5 but i'm hearing rumours that my internet could be down all weekend for maintenance. Will see how things go but not to worry if i'm not online. I'll keep pushing to get that first nicotine free week under my belt.

Everyone take care of their quits... and each others. :)

Well done James - our non-smoker from the future!! (My brain isn't coping with the extra oxygen so this is how I am dealing with the time difference!!!!!!).
