I am giving this another ago, this time I am starting now, at work, so I prove myself in the toughest situation for me (smoking buddies at work!). Had my last ciggie an hour ago – feeling positive.
My first day as a non smoker: I am giving... - No Smoking Day
My first day as a non smoker
Then you are half way to a full time and long life quit if you have consciously made the decision and you are going to stick to it then good for you.
If you are at work you can’t smoke inside so just don’t go out with them when they go, if you must go out so you get the extra breaks then walk up the road and start to get fit as well.
Make sure you drink plenty and stay hydrated that way you will detox faster and feel better for it.
Take care and use the forum regularly and you will get the support you need, take care.
Thank you. Just had a little waiver of 'maybe I will start tomorrow' and saw your post. Did the job.
Wow thats the best thing you could have said to me, it makes the time spent on here so much more worth while I promise.
If every time you feel the errr should I say this need then come on read your own thread or read others who have been in the same position, quitting is not easy and no one on here will tell you it is but IT IS worth doing health wise and money as well so thank you for that I am glad I stopped you having at least one cig that makes me feel so good so imagine how good you will make me feel if you stay quit.
I am free as a quit buddy at the mo if you want one LOL
Thank you again for your posts.
I have made it home, put my son to bed, watching Corrie with a cup of tea - feeling really good
Good for you
Just take each day in installments to start with - i found that really helped - i won't smoke till lunchtime, i won't smoke before bed, i won't smoke till after breakfast et etc!
Glad you're feeling positive - keep up the good work. The first few days are the worst but once you've cracked them then you can conquer anything!
Keep reading and posting too, if you get time - that helps loads!
