I'm now on week 3 of taking Champix, I haven't managed to fully stop yet even though I should have done it at least 2 days ago, I'm down to about 3 a day which is good from the 30 I was on previously. I've been a smoker for 28 years and really want to be a non smoker

well done on the start of your quit ...going from 30 fags to 3 i would say is brilliant ....I dont know much about champix..lots of others do ..who im sure will swap stories xxxx
Username is from captain poopyants or something like that, I fell for it as soon as i found it and have used it since
I'm one of these impatient people, I like things to be instant so I'm really disappointed that I've not managed this instantly, my main problem is when I'm in the car driving to and from work, so I've got myself one of those inhalator thingies, hopefully this evening I will puff on that instead of a cigarette and wake uop tomorrow with 7 still in a pack of 10 purchased yesterday morning
Hi i was in my fourth week before i stoped on champix just got up one morning had the last one then stoped 19 days know not easy yet but i will do it.Loopy i found it hard driving to work used to love one sitting in the trafic so hard but good luck all in the same boat.
It's really good to know that I'm not the only one not stopping between days 8 - 14, I did actually manage to drive home last night without one though, so I was really pleased with myself.
My husband has just started taking them this week, so we'll see how he does on them too
I stopped on day 11 of Champix because every time I had a ciggie, I felt really sick. I am now on day 17 of no smoking and although I have been through some tough days, it's been worth it. You need to se a quit date and stick to it, that's what I did
You will get there - honest. I quit on day 14 but I needed a bit of willpower as well. I set a day and binned everything associated with smoking, stocked up on mints and carrot sticks and began washing everything in the house
After 24 hours I was exhausted, house had a great smell and I had stopped smoking
Think today could be the day, I'd got a few cigs in the car but didn't feel the need to have one on the way to work, still don't feel the need but do feel really really good about myself
Loopygiggles so glad you are stopping it doesnt matter how, whatever floats your boat and makes you a none smoker and I also know nothing about Champix other than the forum members who have used it.
Keep being positive and I am sure you will find you will be able to stop all cigs shortly, keep using the forum and posting to keep us informed how ya doing x
