Hi Snow. Top Tip - Go to the shop and get some Green Tea. It tastes like sh*t but its supposed to be really good for you and is supposed to relieve the cravings according some chinese bloke i know. Anyway - it worked for me.

Hang on in there - there are now people in this forum looking at you wishing they were stong enough to last 5 days.

Well done Snow on getting to day 5 - nearly at the week marker! :D

I found getting some nice xtra strong mints or minty chewing gum helped get me through the remainder of week 1.

Stay busy, stay strong :D

Day 5

Day 5 for me too and I can't believe how easy it has been - I FEEL FREE! Have been using Champix tabs and they are brilliant. I can honestly say I have not had anything like the cravings I have had in the past when I've attempted to quit. The motivation for me ths time is that I'm taking my 3 eldest grandchilden to Disneyworld next month and didn't want to be smoking around them for 10 days! Good luck everyone!

Hi Snow,

Day 5 hey, get you :D You should be feeling very proud of yourself.

Try focusing on what an achievement you have made in not smoking for these last few days. Remember the look of pride on your childrens faces that their Mum is fighting a battle, but oh my, is she ever winning it. I used to go & read on whyquit as that always helped strengthen my resolve & had forgot about the craving when I had finished :D

It is hard I know, but SO doable :D:D

Yes hard and Yes doable :D

Sorry if i keep winging about me needing a smoke every now and again... but writing about it down really does help and brings me back to my senses

Hi Snow

Sorry you're finding ot tough the last couple of days but hang in there it really does get easier the further you go

Hi Susan

Well done to you as well day five is great

Below is my standard welcome and advice post which I try and give all new members

Welcome to the forum and well done on the decision to quit possibly one of the most important you will ever make and you will be losing nothing but you will regain control of your life and that has to be good

You will find all the help and support you need on here as we all help each other just like a family we are here for you every step of the way cheering the good days and sympathising with the bad but the good far outweigh the bad

Read the posts on here you will find a lot of tips and advice and in the signatures of a lot you will find links to other sites just click on them Here are 2 I find very good to start you off whyquit.com and woofmang.com Read, read and then read some more as the more you read and learn about why you smoked and about your addiction the easier your quit will be

This link is good for the psychological part of quitting whyquit.com/whyquit/A_Sympt...

Post often to let us know how you're doing, to rant, rave have a moan whatever you like pretty much anything goes on here OK

Well done Susan - almost a week. I have found Champix good as well and I know you will enjoy your trip Disneyworld much more as a non-smoker :)

Well done to you! You are still upbeat though which is brilliant! I am also cursing buying my girls black paint and allowing them to make and paint a pretend tv set yesterday in their bedroom with no supervision.......
