Hi Juleskav
Anytime is a good time to quit whether it is the start middle or end of the week just go for it when you feel ready too, have a good read of the people signatures in here that will prepare you mentally for waht is about to happen to you during your quit, all the ups and downs during it,it really does help the first few days when you feel lost without a cig in your hand, it helps you with the guilt you feel towards your fellow smokers giving up with out them etc etc ...... have a read and when you feel ready in that week pick a day and go for it Jules promise once you have got over the intial shock of not smoking you will never ever look back. good luck keep posting everyday let us know how you are doing
Thank u, for that support, going to need some help, im using NRT lozenges, and patches (if I need them!) But im going to do it this time, ive tried like many people lots of times, once i lasted 6 weeks, but went back on them, It's like saying goodbye to your best friend. Forever........ my daughter hates it, my boyfriend hates it, my purse hates it, my clothes hate it. That's it getting in the mood!!!!!!:mad:
this time last week i had been to the local chemist and got my patches and microtabs ready to quit the next day, didnt plan it just decided to stop, i've not touched a ciggie for a week at 10pm tonight. So i'd say any day is a good day!! good luck
found this forum after a bit of a search, just reading some of your posts i think its amazing that so many people take the time to support each other even those that have quit long ago.Quit a couple of years ago but only lasted 10 weeks after reading easy way,it started of feeling euphoric and i guess i just got a bit complacent.re-reading easyway and will be finished on sunday night and starting to feel really good about my quit and positive about making it permanent this time.
hey jules, well done on setting a quit date - i actually think setting the date is one of the biggest parts of the process. im nearing the end of my first month and never in a million years thought i could do it. Get the first day out of the way and you'll fly.....
Good luck and jump on here for all the wonderful support you'll ever need
Good luck for Monday, stay strong and if you feel like you are going to crack pop on here for a chat... these guys/girls here are fabbo and will help you along the way
It was suggested to me the best way of using them together is to use the patch constantly, and the lozenges as a boost when you crave hard.
However I, and others, have had difficultly sleeping whilst wearing a patch (insomnia, and vivid dreams when sleep happens) so I suggest if this occurs then remove the patch at bedtime. My first night was fine but the 2nd was a (excuse the pun) nightmare.
