Firstly-I posted this elsewhere--I cut a plastic straw in half and it is my crutch. It's almost the size of a cig-I hold it alot in my fingers.
But the big thing for me is this mental thing I've been able to manage. Whenever I have an urge, I simply tell myself that's it's too damned bad and I had better get over it, 'cause I am not smoking and that's that.
That and the Champix is getting me through.
Hang tough, y'all
I have been quit for 2 Weeks, 1 Day, 6 hours, 28 minutes and 13 seconds (15 days). I have saved $114.51 by not smoking 381 cigarettes. I have saved 1 Day, 7 hours and 45 minutes of my life. My Quit Date: 2/10/2010 6:35 AM

Hello,
I do feel for you, as I found the weeks 2 and 3 really tough. I say that not to be negative, but to show that it's possible to ride it out and what you're going through is normal (albeit painful at times). I love your attitude of "I'm not smoking and that's that". That is how you HAVE to approach it. None of this "Oh I'll just have one" rubbish.
I used to get through packets and packets of Chuppa Chups Lollies and chew and pretend smoke the sticks at the end.
