Hi and welcome. I am not getting involved in your domestic!
Day 1, fantastic the first day of the rest of your life well done on making the best choice you will ever make.
Hopefully your dad has told you that reading the links is key to this quitting lark, lots of reading will really help you get your head in the right place.
Sounds like you are already planning to fail, don't think like that or you will fail.
Lots of people will be along shortly with great advice and help, stay strong, you are so worth it.
I went 3 weeks and 3 day...until last night when I had a few dirty smokes and they weren't good and I feel rubbish today.
When you don't smoke and then go back it really highlights how terrible they taste and how rough they make you feel.
Can't wait to get back to 3 weeks smoke free it was so nice and worth every tough moment. We are addicted and to get out of the trap we have to fight and enjoy not being a smoker.
Make sure you read up about niccotine addiction. How did we all end up getting into this.

Hi Elli and welcome to the forum:D....you will get heaps of support and info here....as I'm sure dad would have told you....read lots ( especially go through some of the older posts and the links under peoples signatures), post as often as you need to and more if it helps and good luck
Welcome and well done stopping smoking. So it's a family affair then, well if Dad hasn't told you all about reading and learning all about the addiction to nicotine we sure will. Changing how you see smoking is the way to stop seeing it as something you are giving up and rather something you no longer want to be part of.
Well done on day 1 Elli, and good luck. Post often, there's lot's of good advice and kind words. Take it a day at a time and don't worry about the odd down day, we all get them, and we all got them when we smoked, it's just a different way of dealing with it.
Well done for stopping smoking I'm sorry your day 1 is so hard for you though
