I was doing well, but had a lot on and was getting really emotional!! (did anyone else find they were emotional?)
So i went to the drs on monday and got help!!! yay. She recommended the patches and gum. My quit day was today. so with the patch i feel fine today.
I had to blow into that 'machine' at the drs and i have another appointment with her next tuesday which makes me more determined that my reading will be a big fat zero!
This thing is a day at time type thing
Hope everyone else is hanging on in there!!
xx

You kidding...we all found it emotional! It's a big step forward making that life changing choice.
Glad you went to the docs and got sorted out. A bit of support from the professionals never hurt anybody. Plus all this blowing into pipes and such must give you a sense of achievement when you move through the days.
You are just on the early days and they can be difficult to say the least. Don't worry about showing your emotions. Get past the 3 days and start to make some history as a reformed smoker.
With that experience you can move forward to the next step...1 week. But you are totally right in saying it's a day at a time thing.
i'm 8 days smoke free now and ive had some really emotional days but they pass and hopefully when you think back on them you'l laugh and think how silly it was to be getting upset over something thats actually doing you harm.
Thats how i get through it, but ive not had a good day today and have been really craving a cig but i'm happy to be able to say ive not and i wont be. stay positive
Giving up the cigs does make you feel emotional, boy do I remember being like that!!!....
Take each day as it comes and I'm sure you will succeced with your quit. The patches and gum will help you, well done and trying again, never give up the fight to quit.
everyday is one massive emotional rollor coaster! i think everyone is feeling like that so your not alone
June - have you gone cold turkey?
i am coming up to the end of day 9 and if i am honest even on Champix the thoughts are no better than what they were on day 1
