Anyone got any good song recommendations to keep up moral? Something like, 'I can see clearly now the rain has gone' not sure if that's the song title?
'Alive' by Pearl Jam is my recommendation for the day

See "Some beautiful sax playing" thread in general, lots of good music links there, and quite a few terrible ones as well.
Just listening to 'The Test' by the chemical brothers... not my first choice of music but when needs must it gets me through...
The Scientist, Coldplay, or Things Can Only Get Better!
Paolo Nutini and Pencil Full of Lead - if that doesn't get your feet tapping then you must be dead!
I'm going to add this song written and recorded by my son Brendon. He was 13 when he recorded this and I think the lyrics in the second verse say it all;

Fix You by ColdPlay...That's a good one...Just listening to Paolo Nutini and Pencil Full of Lead right now...Cool! Am loving it!
Nice one Lozza
Really Cool Song Jack! What's the story there? Gonna bookmark that one
Hi Defrog, my son who's 17 now is and many believe an extremly good musician, he started when he was 9 with an accoustic guitar. As time has went on he has taught himself to play electric guitar, drums, bass, keyboards etc. He has written and recorded around 40 tracks since he was 11. This is one of his few accoustic songs which he wrote for his little sister because at the time he was getting a lot of attention doing gigs plus attention from radio and press.
He plays all the instruments on his tracks (not computer generated) and does all vocals, writes and records them himself. Here's a couple of more up to date ones.

I can see clearly now, the rain is gone,
I can see all obstacles in my way
Gone are the dark clouds that had me blind
It's gonna be a bright (bright), bright (bright)
Sun-Shiny day.
I think I can make it now, the pain is gone
All of the bad feelings have disappeared
Here is the rainbow I've been prayin?for
It's gonna be a bright (bright), bright (bright)
Sun-Shiny day.
Look all around, there's nothin?but blue skies
Look straight ahead, nothin?but blue skies
I can see clearly now, the rain is gone,
I can see all obstacles in my way
Gone are the dark clouds that had me blind
It's gonna be a bright (bright), bright (bright)
Sun-Shiny day.
I've been listening to The Sun Aint Gonna Shine Anymore by The Walker Brothers...only because I love the song and Scott's voice and it does lift my spirits as does most of their songs...even after all these years!!!
One from t'eighties...
Visage - Tar
Remember
Health warning
It's printed
On the packet
Middle tar
Low tar
High tar
Doesn't that make you die
Taking one out of the packet
It's just a force of habit
You know you cannot stop it
The why was the reason why
ah ah ah
Nerves! Nerves! Tension! Tension!
Addiction! Addiction! Addiction! Addiction!
Low tar...
High tar...
Nicotine stain on your finger
Try to wash off but it still linger
Cigarette holder just a joke
Don't really take bad away from smoke
ah ah ah
Nerves! Nerves! Tension! Tension!
Addiction! Addiction! Addiction! Addiction!
Low tar...
High tar...
Remember
Health warning
It's printed
On the packet
Middle tar
Low tar
High tar
Doesn't that make you die
ah ah ah
Nerves! Nerves! Tension! Tension!
Addiction! Addiction! Addiction! Addiction!
Low tar...
High tar...
Remember.
Remember.
Remember.
Tar.
Tar.
Tar.
Sorry... it was either that or Rolf Harris.
Those are some Song Lyrics...not sure they boost moral but it does make me does make smoking sound vulgar... Which does the trick

Love this thread!
Donsttadt - good call on Visage...ah the memories.
One for me lately has been Celebration by Madonna - good upbeat tune, nice and lively. The lines in particular:
Put your arms around me
When it gets too hot we can go outside
But for now just come here, let me whisper in your ear
An invitation to the dance of life
The last line in bold has put a spring in my step many a time. Because to me giving up smoking WAS an invitation to the dance of life!
