I quit december 1st (again lol) but had a relapse on the 16th due to a very stressfull day which is no excuse i know but i think if i was further than what i was i probly would not have caved.
Not smoked since that day but just going to go with the flo instead of desiding wether or not im going to smoke or not over christmas.I dont want to call that day i smoked a blip as it was more than 1 cigarette.Plus ive noticed if i have one blip sooner or later im back to smoking....So no more blips for me ever lol.
Hope everyone is ready for christmas...im not ive still got a few presents to buy yet....So best get myself motived and do what i hate the most.....Shopping.
If i do smoke over christmas i will definalty kick the habit new years day.
This time for good! Been escaping on and off since march...though think ive clocked up more non smoking days this year than smoking days.
So someones going to have to create the january smoking group for me and the january members to live in ( i dont want to own another one:eek
How is everyone today?

thanks bradders merry christmas to you too
yes i will keep trying and i know next time the next quit will stick i can feel it
It's hard giving up but bare with it. Sometimes you just got to have a smoke but hey. Why don't you set a date to finish smoking after the new year say Jan 6th!!. There you go I just set a date for you no pressure!!!! (just kidding with the date).
When ever you start keep with it. We will all support you and give you encouragement.
Merry Xmas to you as well as the others have already said just keep trying one of theses days it will be your time and then you'll find it really easy to do after all the practice :D:D
One thing im happy about is ive never given up giving up.
Despite how many time ive failed its never took me long to get back on my quit smoking horse.
Not smoked much today and not really enjoyed smoking them. But going to continue becase ive got my quit date in mind now.
Think the reason i relapse is because i forget what ive given up and look back at my old smoking days fondly, the days where i could smoke and not think twice about it. Then when i continue to smoke i try to convince myself that things could go back to the way they used to be. When deep down i know that will never happen becasue i see smoking in a different way now.
Merry christmas everyone and a happy new smoke free 2010
Repeat your story, that's me, but since July 08:eek:...(I guess we bummed out of the August cigarette escapers huh?)
But I got sick of repeating the cycle , and realised there was no such thing as just one. I've done 5 weeks now (It may well be a record....) Something changed in my head and i knew i would do it, and had had enough.
My way of looking at it is that was kinda practice sessions to giving up and part of the journey. When the time is right you will do it, cos you have already been doing it, and you know how to do it. It's just fine tuning...
I have another quit building up, was going to stop New Years day, but hey why wait! Not sure which day yet but in the next few days.
Awww gaynor, everything has a time and place, christmas is only a few days away.. you will find the right moment again, and with a grit of the teeth and a confident spring in your step you'll be quitting smoking again. You know you will.
Til then have a really awesome christmas, and give us all the nod when you have taken the first step of the quit.
I am really pleased for you on your quit. Have been reading on here this afternoon & it is making me feel really positive about quiting again. If I can get to the shops tonight will get some patches so I am all ready

Thank you Jase,
You have a good one too & will certainly let you know when I take the plunge again lol.
Getting patches tonight so may even take the plunge tomorrow. Not at work today as feeling yuck. Went out to move my car & feed the rabbit & was really exhausted afterwards. Lack of oxygen due to smoking is really making the littlest thing hard work now. Time to stop fooling myself me thinks!!
