It is a nasty sh1ty feeling and I can't think of anyone that likes it at all. But with the first ones you need to start focussing upon ignoring it. Get past it. It only lasts for a short while and then disappears...fair enough it does come back but then you have to focus away from it again. The more you do that the easier it becomes and the craves reduce too.
Now keep posting instead of thinking about it, okay?
I want to go outside for a smoke.
A bit fekin' nippy for going outside...don't you think?
1 ciggy is 1 packet is a mountain of cigs xx
1 ciggy is 1 packet is a mountain of cigs xx
Absolutely correct...cos it never ends at having just one ciggy.
Julie, think about the 2 weeks and 2 days of effort...literally going up in smoke. Best not let that happen
[Why I am I feeling these sudden cravings seeing I have given up for 2 weeks with no cravings at all apart from now??

It happens to all of us. You could be one day or one week or one month and they hit. If you haven't read up about what's happening to you then let me explain a bit. Course I don't know the method of your quit...so let me base this on Cold Turkey. First 72 hours and the nicotine is out of your system. Then is a battle against the psychology of smoking...that's the long and difficult part. That's why we suggest that you read and educate yourself about the quit as it helps to unpick the brainwashing we've absorbed over the many years of smoking.
sorry about the late reply julie. I hope you didnt have it
i know it'll be hard but try think of good things ie what your doing for xmas and new year, mabye your birthday
hi you
I'm sorry about late reply also. Pleased to say I didn't have a smoke!! phew. I wanted to, but after giving up for 2 weeks and 2days, I thought don't have a smoke it's not worth it XXXX
Hi Julie
I'm sorry you had that really bad crave last night but so pleased to hear you got through it
If/when you get another one having fought thid one off it will be easier for you to do it again
Everyone gets easier to fight anf they also become much weaker as you go along as well
Love and a Hug
Marg xx
Hi Julie
Sorry didn't see your post earlier either, you've faced that crave now - you won't have that particular trigger again - but you will have others. Stay strong.
Get a quit counter and re read the healing process your body is going through.
You've done 14 days (15 now) why bother having a fag again! It's just the addiction trying to drag you back in, don't let it win.
M
am i the starter of late replies:eek:
Julie excellent news about no having it. Your now on wk2 day3 aren't you?
well done once again
2 weeks and 2 days is... week 3 right?
the terrible 3's.
day 3, week 3, month 3.
Just be more on your guard during these times, you will be tempted and tested surely during these parts of the quit.
WooHoo!!!
Well done for bashing Evil Uncle Nick round the head with a handbag!!!
Glad you didn't nearly 3 weeks is too good to waste on a notion.
Stay Strong.... !!! xxx
