Wow Boo, that certainly is very hard hitting but definitely worth watching, think those images will stay with me for a long time and help keep me off the fags!!!

Thanks for posting!
oh yes it has stayed with me too even now two years later it is very hard hitting
It really shows not just the pain and suffering that the poor lady went through but the extent to which smoking related diseases bring emotional turmoil to everyone around .. not just the sufferer.
This is definitely one to keep fresh in the memory banks if any of us are struggling.
Thanks Boo...Even those of us (well me really!!) who have been quit for quite a time can sometimes get a rogue thought that maybe a cigareette would be good...not a craving just a thought! Watch that piece of film and all silly thoughts are banished. Poor lady and poor family, lets hope everyone on this forum quit in time. So awfully sad to someone almost at death's door still wanting a cigarette, what an awful addiction we have all beaten. x
Bumped because it really helps me when I think I want a cigarette!
I played this...and it haunts me...so horrible...such a slow painful death, it not painful for the sufferer it sure is for the family to watch ! She is now at peace...why are we allowed to kill ourselves like this why ???
I to have footage of mum, who I may say passed away when I was abroad, and that was so devastating, the video reminds me of all those mums who I guess never new better but we do ! And while we all understand the statistics of smoking we never take it on board, but my word this video is powerful. And it justs reiterates why we are stopping, and thank you for this footage, I am struggling with my quit 5 weeks on Saturday, I hope can keep going.
My mum could of had a heart saving operation, but due to smoking she could not have it and she died on my birthday due to smoking related issues, so sad . Tracey

Oh Tracey how tragic and on your birthday too
Be strong and carry on...5 weeks is far too long to give up now. If you have children do it for them don't let history repeat itself...and if you don't have children, do for your dear mum. x
Oh Tracey that's so sad for you. I posted as I think it really hits home the effects of smoking on our own health and on our loved ones who are watching us slowly killing ourselves. You've reached 5 weeks which is ****** brilliant, stay strong, you can do it, of course you'll have wobbles but I'm sure you can get past them. I will echo hundreds of sentiments on here, it does get easier I promise
