Last night was tough, big works do, pub and restaurant, my first big night out as a non smoker! But, despite drinking loads (sore head today!) I didn't smoke so I'm v pleased! One guy, a senior manager, kept trying to get me to smoke a cigar- why do some smokers have such a problem with people quitting?

Hi Dee
week three so soon thats a great effort not being tempted on your night out, really pleased for you keep the quit strong
The people trying to get you to smoke ....very very sad and you should laugh loudly at them.
I don't remember trying to get people who had stopped smoking to smoke. It's the very height of rudeness! Ah well, pity them as you all say, and I am glad it didn't tempt me, just annoyed me!
Onto day 16 now, soon I will be able to say month 2 etc, which will be fab. I'm treating myself to a haircut with my saved money tomorrow, plus am taking pink champagne down to my sisters for girlie chats and dinner. She's s non smoker so no temptation there at all! Feeling pretty good today, despite still not sleeping well (grrr) and when I do sleep having insane dreams. Last night I was nearly murdered by a serial killer!
But, one thing I have noticed is my skin! It looks so much better, it has colour and looks clear and healthy! I wasn't expecting that, so a nice little bonus there.
Hiya deedeebel...well done for week 3. I'm still smoke-free too, and well done for not accepting that smelly cigar, what a pr**K. I haven't been out socially yet, but well done for staying off the fags, it must have been a great temptation, especially when tipsy. Week 3 is usually my hardest, so I hope it's easier for you. Have a lovely night with your sister. Lisa X
Congrats to you deedee, and well done to getting through the works do. I think some people dont consider having the 'odd' cigar as smoking, which is a bit uneducated really - especially for a senior manager

y thats the worst. I guess it makes them feel bad, but even so
congrats on doing 15 days. Thats a great achievement. The first couple of weeks really are tough. Its a patience and persistance game now. you are beating this thing!
