Quit smoking on August 24, 2009. I lost my job today. I have no one to help me.
I'm struggling today...: Quit smoking on... - No Smoking Day
I'm struggling today...
Sorry about the job, Darby..... that's really stressful and stress often triggers wanting to smoke..... which really would make your situation even worse in the end. You're on your 2 month!! and all I can tell you is hang in there and keep pushing through those though days. Easier said than done but there is lots of support on here so maybe hang out on the forum for a while.
Best of luck to you, Darby!
Hi Darby ignore Bella she's menopausal or something, look you have someone you have us anytime.
Im so sorry about your job but you know that smoking is not the answer, you have done so well to get here, please dont spoil it, and you will need all your strength to get out there and get back on the job market. Smoking will not only hit your self esteem it will also drain your resourses.
Come and kick me when you are down, I have stout legs
Hi Darby
I'm so sorry you're struggling today and also that you've lost your job not a good combination
But you've done so well with your quit and got past the 2 month mark please don't throw away all that hard work now
You know that smoking won't help with this or any other problem and will ony add to the stress you're feeling right now in fact it would only make things worse for you as you'd then have to deal with the disappointment and abger you'd feel about giving in
Come here instead yell, scream whatever it takes to get through this rough patch you know there's always someone around to help/support or just listen
Love
Marg
Hi Darby,
Sorry you're going through a bad time, just hang on in there. Don't turn to cigarettes for the answer, you know it won't help and it will make things seem worse as you'll be disappointed to have broken your quit.
Talk on here anytime, give yourself a few days to get over the shock and decide what you want to do next.
try to be positive about what could happen next.
Let us know how you get on
Sue
Hi there. So sorry for you, smoking may seem a good thing to run to but it won't help at all and you'll feel rubbish afterwards. Not smoking is one thing you are able to control in your life at the moment. Stick with it and feel good about that xxxx
