Struggling Today

I woke up feeling manic, happy energetic and really good about not smoking.

I still feel good about not smoking but am struggling more today. I've already snapped at 3 people and hate myself for doing it because they don't deserve it. I'm half tempted to phone back the poor guy at Southern Water to apologise for being 'Ali the Irritable' :o

I'm fidgety .. anxious and irritable. Please .. when will this go away?

Oh hun you have my sympathy. I hate that feeling of not being quite yourself. Stay positive! You're doing such a good thing and a few days of feeling like a ratty mare are nothing compared to the years of freedom from nicotine you're giving yourself.

Maybe pamper yourself so you feel a bit more relaxed. A nice long bath, some chilled music, a little sleep. Anything that calms you down and gets you through today - and tomorrow will be better.

Go to tips and read Just for fun tips by meercat - they're hilarious and if nothing else will at least make you laugh. On day 2 of champix so not actually quit yet but am planning to employ the make more noise than your kids tip when they get in from school later just to shock them.

Good luck - the next couple of days will be the hardest and so what if you're a stroppy git for a while. Perhaps now would be a good time to ring all those annoying companies that try to sell you things on the phone or so-called customer service departments and give them a taste of their own medicine - most deserve to be on the receiving end of a quitters rants!

Feeling slightly better .. although that could have something to do with the fact I just hit my head on the door knob twice (wot a dipstick!) so there is other pain to concentrate on.

Took your advice hbav and took my rage out on the gardening ..

Hugged the cats who dont like hugs when they are trying to sleep - but I've put up with their siamese airs and c**p for long enough, so it's my turn.

and hopefully I'll soon be like you Boudee .. back to my happy self.

I still haven't smoked and am still determined not to give in.

frenzy

hi, im coming to the end of the 2nd day. Ive was a cycling frenzy at work today,i am a postie. I got through my workload about a hour faster than usual!! Got loads of energy or is it because I want to keep busy to put off that sitting down and wanting a ciggie?? I know Im nearly through the worst of it , just day 3 to go

stay strong and focused if you want to be smoke free.

1 puff and you will be back where you started wanting to give up.

I have been quit for 6 Months, 2 Weeks, 2 Days, 4 hours, 6 minutes and 39 seconds (200 days). I have saved £1,651.40 by not smoking 6,005 cigarettes. I have saved 2 Weeks, 6 Days, 20 hours and 25 minutes of my life. My Quit Date: 08/03/2007 15:10

Hey, don't expect day 3 to be that terrible! it may in fact be a pretty good day for you ;) Just hang in there and things will get much better and very soon.
