Hi Lee
Well done mate for starting a new quit so soon. You have done the right thing because there is not as much nicotine in your body now so the first few days will be easyer than last time. Keep remembering how crap you felt. xxxxx
Sooooooooooooo PROUD OF YOU!!!!!
You asked if you should go CT. I'd say, do what feels right for you, there's more than one way to skin a cat!
Hopeful
Hi Lee that is the best news so glad you came back earlier than you said as it will be easier as said above, I know that from my previous flops.
Keep posting we will be here for you X

Hi Lee
Welcome back to the world of NON SMOKING I'm glad you decided not to take that week as it would have been so much harder for you and your system would have really got used to being fed nicotine again
You should go with whatever feels right for you OK

Well done on quiting again so soon Lee and I think your right about the booze.
I normally like a drink at the weekend and it was sods law that I would be given a 12 year old bottle of single malt on the day I quit smoking but I am planning to leave well alone for a week or 2 so I don't jeopardize my quit.
On day two today and feeling a few craves but they ain't going to get to me this time.
Hi
ohh dear that is sods law lol. Well done keep going. Yes definatly stay away from the beer. I thought i would be able to handle it....But i was wrong

Hi Lee
hope today is going well for you mate. you ask should you go cold turkey only you can decide that. all i will say is it was not as hard as people say not for me anyway. But what ever is right for you. we all get to the same end what ever. NON Smokers.xxxx
Good look with your new day 1.
Personally I recommend cold turkey, once you get pas the first three days of depleting your body of nicotine (which I won't lie is absolute hell when going CT), it then gets easier and you see the incentive of all the money you save vs buying NRT products.
Also NRT only has a 1.6% success rate.
Also NRT only has a 1.6% success rate.
Yay, I'm one a 1.6% success story
Good luck with the new quit, whatever route you go you will eventually have to ditch nicotine. I found that using NRT in the initial phase gave me the confidence to believe I could succeed but if I had known at the start what little difference NRT made to my quit (which I found out when I came off it) I think I would have gone CT from the start.
The key to success is understanding the addiction, and how insidious it really is. Avoiding alcohol is wise for the initial phase of the quit (I've made some bad decisions while pissed:eek and knowing that one smoke invariably leads to more so there is no such thing as just one for the vast majority of us.
Never look upon quitting as depriving your self, it is not a sacrifice to stop poisoning yourself and you are gaining so much - health, wealth and control!
Cheers
Nic
Great job for getting back on board so quickly! The temptation is always to smoke a while before the next attempt (for me it was always years between attempts :eek So good job Ace and CJM! Go April Crew!!!
the aceman is back
i'm so glad you came back so quickly lol i don't know you ..but i was missing you already ..you were my first contact when i joined april showers ...welcome back lee
