Right. You are all right. I have come out of the grumpy craving corner. Lets regroup on a fresh thread.
Well done wonderlungs for eight weeks today! And to eileen for 6 weeks. And to everyone else also! A roll call would be nice to see who is around still on the feb quitters. Rebecca, I have removed you from the sig. Any Feb quitters if you also do the same then we are all sorted there. Wantostop, you are doing brilliantly, yes, we should all stand together. This is about quitting succesfully and I am sorry if you have been left feeling negative. I for one have treated myself again to a 'happy easter egg' to replace the one I ate yesterday, which I have just eaten. Happy easter! Thanks so much for all your support and well done to all quitters.
Shabba, are you sure you were not a peace keeper in some former life??

Hello you! I was just asking if anyone had heard from you the other day! Lovely to see you are still around, was the weekend away good? Quiet quitting is just as good if it helps you, but don't suffer on your own xx
I have also got a bit down about the whole forum stuff over the weekend and ended up sniping at BB which is so not me.
I put a lot of what is said in a snipey mood down to the fact that we can all get waspy when giving up however long its been. I have had a crap weekend with one thing and another although I have been doing well with the cravings and stuff.
So yes I am still here, I want to stay here, want to be an active DFSF09 and will try and avoid/ignore pointless remarks!!! LOL
Eileen, how about the idea of shortening our 'doing fine thing'. DFS kind of makes me smile. (for bella and the like, DFS is a sort of sofa place which always has a sofa sale on and has cheesy adds on the tv). I sort of saw it on a thread Nogar did and now I see that you also shortened it?
I spent so much time wafting around with the dfs thing I then missed your thread. I am so glad you posted. I was worried about you! You are allowed to be waspish sometimes and that game ended up being far to clever for my brain cells, I bailed out much earlier, so full respect to you for continuing! And Linda also for lovely support. I am glad I did not grump off into the sunset after all! xxxx
the weekend away was fab had my moments a couple of times but on the whole it was great.Just taking my time at mo not sure how i feel, tomorrows another day ha love to all xxx
I would be a saggy old horsehair one with broken springs and rotting upholstery. Good to see you carole! So glad there are still a good few of us on the wagon!
But putting it in it's proper perspective, having smoked since I was 15/16 and pumping the body full of chemicals all these years, will take a bit longer for the good results to show.
I think there are a few of us who took or are taking a while to get physically sorted. I didn't get the headaches but did get some wicked colds. And my concentration is still not right. Now onto spots! I read somewhere that your body goes into shutdown almost when you have kicked the habit. So many years of a hyper immune system having to work overtime due to the many chemicals we pumped into our system. Then you pick up everything for a while. So says google. I agree on the sore throat, sometimes mine will feel like I have smoked a gazillion fags. Perhaps its all the nasty stuff caked on it clearing out??
