Day 17
Hi Bern
Well done on 17 days quit that's great
Welcome to the forum and well done on the decision to quit possibly one of the most important you will ever make and you will be losing nothing but you will regain control of your life and also you will be much healthier and that has to be good
You will find all the help and support you need on here as we all help each other just like a family we are here for you every step of the way cheering the good days and sympathiseing with the bad but the good far outweigh the bad
Read the posts on here you will find a lot of tips and advice and in the signatures of a lot you will find links to other sites just click on them Here are 2 I find very good to start you off whyquit.com and woofmang.com Read, read and then read some more as the more you read and learn about why you smoked and about your addiction the easier your quit will be
Best Wishes
Marg

Well done on nearly completing 3 weeks off the fags. I quit using NRT Lozenges, and found understanding nicotine addiction and the way it affects you the key to staying quit and coming off the lozenges.
The links which Margaret gave you (also in my sig) are a worthwhile read to help you get the right frame of mind to succeed for ever.
All the best
Nic
Day 16 for me
Wow cant believe i have got into my 3rd week already. Seems to have gone so fast. I was expecting to be bald and divorced by now but seems to be ok so far. Well done to all of us who have got this far and look forward to our first month!
Good for you g3niee, it does feel good doesn't it. Only us can burst our own bubbles, nobody is going to make us smoke again. Quite a few of us stopped around the same time. David
hi bern i am also on my 17th day and feel great only wished i could feel like this all the time have tried several times before using patch and inhalator i have smoked for bout 48 yrs 20/30 a day but really determined this time keep it up
Well done nanna Carol. You have to remember the better days so you know what it's like when you're having an off day. We all have them, I should think even the Pope has his off days. David
DAY 20- running out of patches!!
Hi all,
Well day 21 looms tomorrow, no real craving to be honest, take deep breaths when I need them.As I am not in the uk my supply of nicotin patches runs out tomorrow, luck I have an inhalor if I really need it , to be honest I dont want to stick that stuff down my throat... but beggars cant be choosers eh?, might go cold turkey on Monday as my next batch wont arrive until next tuesday, will need the will power.. me thinks..
I have two kids and a supportive missus to help me along..also getting lots of help and support from colleagues at work too which really gives you that wee boost!!
Speak soon and keep the faith !!
Hi Bern
Three weeks tomorrow that's great well done you might be an idea trying C T when patches run out and as you say you have that inhalor if you need it yes you will need that willpower but you will need it anyway when you come of the patches so why not now you have to do it alone sometime after all and as you say you have a supportive wife and two kids so sit them down if you decide to go C T and tell them that it might be a bit of a rough ride for a few days it only takes 3 days to get that nicotine out of your system and then you would be free and clear and you know we will all give you all the help and support you want you are not alone in this fight just hang in there we are all fighting the same battle and together we can win the war
Keeping the faith
