Well I was collared outside the kids school today, by the NHS quit smoking "reps" I had wondered why there wasn't the usual crowd (or is that cloud) of smoking parents there
Anyway I told them I'd quit with the help of this site. On the way out as the kids had been slow I was one of the last parents out and they said we'll ask you again so you have the pleasure of saying you don't smoke, again.
So I stopped to chat, and challenged them about the education way and apparently our PCT does buy into the cognitive approach and offer it as an option along with NRT champix etc. She seemed to have the right knowledge and info and I must say I was impressed
Following a recent national training session the quit advisor I was talking to said she realised many other PCTs don't offer it but it still sounds like an advance, and its got to start somewhere.
Oh and me and my big mouth they've invited me to speak at their "group" if I want to
