I almost missed this one... Had to have it pointed out to me via PM
But today is day 143, meaning I passed 20 weeks on Friday and it is 4 months and 3 weeks today. 5 months soon.
Time is going so quickly now!
I feel fine with it too, cravings are a thing of the past and even urges are very few and far between.
Very happy to say that smoking is just something I used to do.... and the old saying IS true.... If I can do it, anyone can. The tougher times do come to an end, and quicker than you think.... and

20 Weeks and 200 days are massive achievements, well done both of you I have to say that you both seem to always stand out as 2 people that have really got their quits under control.
Thanks to everyone, but especially for this comment...

That's the biggest compliment you can give a quitter I think. To be in control is to have won. While none of us will ever be completely free.... we can be in control.

For so long we have been controlled by the dreaded nico-demons and now we control them! No wonder it takes a bit of time to get used to this difference. It's a good feeling though!
Well done to Stuart and Nic on your fantastic achievements!!

Hello Nic / Stuart - your achievements are inspirational to us newbies! All I need is a 0 on the end of my 15 days and I will be somewhere near to you guys?!

In late summer last year I said exactly the same, and its still an inspiration to me to see people reach the penthouse and beyond.
Keep doing what you are, keep not smoking and keep posting and you will be the inspiration to those that follow.
Its a virtuous circle, people, keep it growing and flowing
We have all been there... time will pass and simply by not smoking and reading, posting, etc you will become an inspiration to those that follow. As Nic says, I was the same last september/october.... if you look back for some of my early posts you will see that I was simply in awe of the quitters further along. Now it seems I have become "an inspiration" without even trying to be... all I have done is not smoke! If, by walking this road I can encourage others to follow.... then I shall keep coming here and keep not smoking.
It is a circle that hopefully will continue to get bigger and bigger as the word spreads about the REAL best way to get off this addiction....
eeeee
feels good doesnt it Stu!!

You better be, I don't wanna go to the penthouse on my own... that other lot scares me
