Welcome to the forum Mrsgag!

You are doing great to have got to day 23! I am on Day 18 and really enjoying being a non-smoker.

Try to focus on the positives - you haven't smoked for 23 days, smile a lot and keep the faith - you will get through the tough moments.

Keep posting on here and read lots and lots about your nicotine addiction. Try to understand the enemy - forewarned is forearmed!!

Hi Welcome and well done on your quit. Yes it will make a diffrence when you drop strenths I used patches on a quit last year and everytime I dropped strenth It took abour 72 hours to ajust. Stick with the lower patch for a few days and the craves will go again.xxxxx

Not to be negative...

but as long as your body gets ANY nicotine (via patches or gum or anything else) you will have cravings... You are experiencing the same withdrawl that cold turkey quitters go through except you have to do this every time the dosage is dropped (though your cravings might be less intense since you are still getting some nicotine), whereas we only go through it once (during the first 3-4 days) and you will have to go through that as well whe you stop the nicotine altogether. This is why I do CT, since I can barely handle the physical cravings once and for the 3-4 days. However, I applaud the fact that you have at least stopped the smoking part. It is the right step!

It takes 72-96 hours to remove ALL nicotine from your body!!!
