For some reason I have really felt like smoking today - more than any other day. Had a bad night's sleep too and I'm sure that has something to do with not smoking. It's as if I am having a delayed reaction to stopping. Feel really miserable

It has seemed to me that initially you direct your efforts towards suppressing the desire to smoke, but as things get a bit easier you sometimes relax those efforts and the desire starts to seep back in.
The idea of never let your guard down is a good one!
Try not to get too down. I'm still getting prolonged sessions of wanting to smoke two weeks in. I can also relate to the sleep bit, I was quite chuffed to do 5 hours in the land of nod before waking up early hours this AM.
You started your quit same time as me Annie - fancying a smoke is bound to happen at some stage but just be strong. I felt the urge on day 5 and it was so strong I found a nub end in my handbag. I didn't light it because I would have let myself down and been so disappointed with myself but more importantly I couldn't stand the smell of it. Now I think the nicotine is out of my body and the urges are no longer there. Just had to change a few routines around (I used to love a cigarette when I got home at night with a glass of wine whilst getting dinner ready) - Last couple of nights I've busied myself, had my glass of wine and forgotten about the cigarette. You can do it - we are all here to support each other. All of us are bound to have good and bad days.
Well done on not giving in to the craving, you have come so far and are now over the worst, i also had a bad day around day 8 and others i know on here have to, but i guarantee tomorrow will be a brighter day and you will be fully recharged to cope with it all.
I know you can do it and i also know you will, you are stronger than these cravings.
