strange day 3

Bit of an odd day, generally felt pretty good and pleased with myself, but the occasional really strong feelings of panic and thoughts like, oh my god, I'm never going to have another cigarette! I'm yawning all the time and actually had a 15 min. doze after lunch, I NEVER do that!? Maybe it's cos i'm having no caffeine I don't know. Anyone else feel more tired than usual early on when stopping?

Your body has a lot of re-adjusting to do, and tiredness, or indeed insomnia, may be one of the effects you encounter.

Day 3 - well done, do you know there is no nicotine left in your body now? Yahoo!

Next time you think "OMG! I'm never going to have another cigarette!" try turning the thought around in your head....

"YES! YES! YES! I am NEVER going to have another cigarette! How wonderful is that! :)"

I have been quit for 11 Months, 1 Day, 20 hours, 57 minutes and 2 seconds (336 days). I have saved £1,684.35 by not smoking 6,737 cigarettes. I have saved 3 Weeks, 2 Days, 9 hours and 25 minutes of my life. My Quit Date: 17/02/2008 22:00

Oh yes - I felt knackered by day 4! Now I'm on Day 15 I feel really lively, I have loads more energy.

I really understand the feeling of panic that I'll never smoke another ciggie and that has been the cause of my failure in the past. I love the idea of turning the idea around and celebrating the fact that I'll never smoke another fag!

Alternatively, you could allow yourself a ciggie on your 99th birthday! I might but I KNOW I'll not smoke one before then!

Yeah, couldn't agree more, first couple of days felt really tired early evening then the insomnia kicks off! Day 5 for me, haven't felt quite so sleepy past couple of days.

Reading everyones posts it looks like insomnia is in for the long haul. Thank god for sky+ as there's usually naff all on after midnight.

Good Luck for day 4 lozza :D
