......that today is precisely one and a half years since I quit smoking 40 tabs a day.

I got a lot of support from this board and so I thought I'd just come back and say to all of those that are just starting their quit, or those who are contemplating a new year resolution, that there is life after quitting.

Before I quit I'd been smoking so long and so heavily that I couldn't imagine ever being 100% smoke free. Now a year and a half on, I can't imagine ever going back.
