Back at the hospital today

And once again its all good.

Had an outpatients appointment with the consultant today and was officialy signed off as completely better.

My liver was damaged by the strong drugs & my bloods show that has now repaired itself, my lungs are clear on both sides and I can start some exercise so I'm hoping to get to the gym next week.

At the moment I'm getting home from work and needing a little nap as it's wearing me out, but as soon as I feel that receeding I'm going to try & get back to the running.

Thinking of doing the Great North Run next year with someone at work as a celebration of being almost a year quit. I'm used to running 3 miles a day when I was smoking 20 a day, so can't wait to see what happens when I get fully fit again!!

SO EXCITED:D:D

I love reading great news like that.

If you decide to do the run, that would be a great way to celebrate a year!

I have gotten to a point now where I need to do more to get fitter. I'm not in bad shape, but I suddenly realised the other day that I can no longer eat what I like and stay in shape without thinking about it.

Maybe I shall start it as a New Year Resolution... :o

Hey good news F2Q. When a person has been as ill as you have been recently it must be an incredible feeling when the Docs gives you the all clear to get your life back. But please do go canny getting back into the harness of keeping fit.

Having said that one of my friends, when visiting from Manchester, told me she had done the Great Northern this year. She loved it!
