i dreamt last night that i needed a fag so much, i climbed up this MASSIVE wall with no safety equipment where a half empty packet was. i had to hang onto bits of brick and kick the packet onto the floor so when i got down i could smoke them. i was really scared but so deperate to get them i did it anyway
weird!
Smoking dreams happen for the first few weeks as your mind gets used to not smoking.
I used to look at them as nicotines last remaining tactic to try and win me back.
That way, even as my subconcious stopped the dreams by itself... I got to have a reward for "beating" them 
I am no psychologist but the way I see it is this.
You are used to the effect that nicotine has on the body and the mind desires it. Your concious mind has made a decision not to take in any more nicotine but your subconscious mind wants it.
When you are asleep the subconscious mind is dominant and produces these dreams to urge you to give it some nicotine!
Either that or you like to torture yourself
