Well thats 7 weeks gone and despite some withdrawals and a few cravings, it's been quite painless otherwise. The smoking cessation groups and forums like this have also played a massive part. That's quite an achievement for me, I'd normally have caved in by week 2 or 3, 'Hail to Champix' They really do work if you let them, taking the nasty edge off the cravings and withdrawals, allowing your willpower to work more effectively. I'm now looking forward to going away on Saturday, probably more than I did in the past cos I've never been a smoke free holiday.
7 smokeless weeks.: Well thats 7 weeks gone... - No Smoking Day
7 smokeless weeks.
Very well done - 7 weeks is a long time, I will also vouch for Champix. They don't do the work for you, but they really do help.
Enjoy your holiday. I remember going to Villamoura on the Algarve during one of earlier failed quits and really enjoying not smoking and enjoying more time than usual.
Well done Medic,
You're counting in months now and you'll be into years before you know it.
Just think when you watch the London Olympics in 2012 you'll be able to say you've been stopped 4 years, and it's the 1st Olympics you've watched in your adult life as a non smoker!
Cheers
Nic
Bloomin' marvellous! Great stuff!
Have a great holiday, but be careful and remember if the Old Nicodemon has sneaked on the plane with you - just give his a Glasga kiss!:D:eek::cool:
