Today it is 7 weeks since I last smoked. Not much to say really. No need to celebrate or feel proud of myself. Just more fool me for not doing it a lot sooner.

"No need to celebrate" - who are you kidding Zoe - it's fantastic, 7 weeks, 49 days, 1,179 hours or 70,560 minutes (according to my calculator;))
I will celebrate for you!
gtat
Hi gtat,
Guess it's ok when you look at it that way. Just keep thinking about all the time (and money) I wasted
Zoe
Ummm, let me get my head around this.
You havent had a smoke for 7 weeks and find no need to celebrate?
Dont be daft....What you did in the past has no bearing on what you are doing in the present.
Be proud, celebrate, shout about it!
You should be really proud of you, I am.

What in hell has happened to you.... 7 WEEKS and no celebrations. We are all expecting you to keep our spirits high and LEAD ALL ***celebrations *** and how you let us down when it comes to one of your BIG milestones............YOU can't decide not to celebrate !!!!!
I came on tonight feeling smug that today I am 2 months quit BUT if you don't celebrate your achievment then how can the rest of us "mere mortals" celebrate ours..
PLEASE .......change your mind CELEBRATE you deserve to and then we will all ceebrate with you:D
Hey Zoe - don't think about the money, it's the least important thing.
It's your (and all of our) health that really matters. What we should concentrate on is that we are doing something positive; for us and for our loved ones, that's what really matters and we should all celebrate what we are trying to do - it is something worth doing - which is why it's so hard

Thanks Lillie, grumpie and gtat,
I know 7 weeks is an achievement, but if I'd only done it a few months ago my life would be completely different from the shambles it is now
Grumpie, maybe we should swap names lol I've left you congrats in the Successful September Stoppers group, and I tried to sneak a bottle of champers into the Month 3 room for you, but one of the moderators saw me in the corridor and grabbed it:eek: we just can't get the staff around here these days....
Think I'm just tired, after all I have had two bad smoking nightmares the last two nights, and I've had to walk four miles a day for the last four days, lol.
Maybe I'll celebrate next Friday on my 8 week milestone, if I get there of course!
Zoe xx
What's going on here?
I turn my back for a few days and Zoe is having a celebration failure.
Zoe - seven weeks is mega - especially when combined with the fact that you are taking other positive steps to improve things like your computer course! You know that you would feel thrilled for anyone else reaching this milestone - so why not for yourself?
You should get that party started, and just keep it going until it runs into the eight week one! You are doing brilliantly.
Well somebody was obviously a bit grouchy last night..
Hope you're feeling better today girl! 7 weeks yesterday must mean that you're on 50 DAYS without smoking now!
Hey Zoe, seems like we were both having an off day yesterday. How about we celebrate your 7 week success in the SSS room tonight, with a bottle of champers? They even do it in rose 'flavour'!
Seriously though, you have come really far, and I'm proud of you.
You've also helped a lot of people on this forum (including me) with your sense of humour and kindness, all while going through your own battles :).
Keep it up, sista!
Hey Jen, aww know I'm gonna cry again

I felt for you yesterday but couldn't reply as I didn't want to say a loada SH 1TE which I am full of, didn't want to make you feel worse. Depression is horrible, and is not related to smoking either, quitting gave me a lift but then the real world kicked in:rolleyes: Glad you feeling better today though, and will gladly join you in the SSS room for a CRATE of champers. And you are my sister indeed:cool:
Zoe xxxx
