Oh my god I can't believe it....

I have never been this far away from fags...(well, not for 14 years anyway)

Alittle song to start Friday. So, i have managed to stay off the fags for 10 days. To any newbie reading this (which I still class myself by the way) - the advice of taking each day or hour at a time is so true. On Day 1 - if someone had said - soon it will be Day 10 - I would have clawed their eyeballs out - in the nicest possible way of course. :D

I am sensing a change in the mind too - the difference between WANTING to smoke and THINKING about smoking - I am thinking about smoking alot but wanting to smoke is definately on the wane. Yay.

Still my mind wonders on the best method - patch or no patches - but it seems to be working at the moment - so will stick with it.

Not getting complacent - the Week 3 blues may be waiting for me just around the corner - but I can see them waiting and am ready to claw their eyes out - in the harshest possible way of course.

Good luck and hope you are all well.

P.S. I get to leave Bratislava today and go home!

Chris - Free and Healing for Ten Days, 8 Hours and 32 Minutes, while extending my life expectancy 1 Day and 1 Hour, by avoiding the use of 311 Cigarettes that would have cost me £90.13.

Fantastic achievement getting into double figures!

Well done.

Have a good journey home and if you stop off in Duty Free make sure its only Whisky and Toblerone you get!

Cheers

Chris,

Well done! Yay to you for getting to 10 days, I'm at 7 days today and I can safely say the last week has been weird, I've tried a few times before to quit, from past experience the first couple of weeks have been easy.

This week hasn't been easy at all, especially the last few days, I haven't really wanted to smoke but something has made me feel really weird, don't quite feel myself.

I've noticed my skin looks better, my mouth doesn't constantly taste like shit, £35 saved already, more energy.... the pro's sooooo outway the cons. I'm trying to constantly remind my sub-conscious of these facts.

Keep up with the NRT if it takes the edge off, at least your not poisoning yourself with all those nasty chemicals and you are in control of what nicotine does go in.

Just take it easy and you can think about the getting rid of the nicodemon when your ready.

:D

well done chris...

I still think about smoking after 5months...but that's not suprising since it was what I did for 40yrs:eek:...but as you said thinking about it and wanting one are different things!! As long as you're thinking about them in a negative way and not in a "I'm missing you" way!!!

good luck...safe trip...
