This is day 2 of my quit. I have been smoking 10 - 15 a day for around 18 years give or take the odd quit here and then (and a pregnancy). I feel really rotten right now. Lethargic, headachy, slightly nauseous and quite frankly depressed!! Please tell me it will all get better and this is the tough part etc etc I just need a little morale boosting :)

Thanks

Hey,

Thanks for the reply :) nice to know I am not alone! I'm using patches and I wasnt sure if the symptoms were patch related or nicotine deprevation related ... maybe a little of both. I have the weirdest fuzzy head .. maybe thats the oxygen thing your talking about. Ahhhh I just wish I could wake up in a month and be all better!!!

I done as much research as I could and I came up with NRT + Support = Best Chance. Lets hope I'm right. Thank god for the internet and all the helpful ppl out there :)

well done Happy mini mum, your battle with nic has started,

it does get better as time and days go on. try to drink more water to flush nic away.

keep up your brilliant work you should be proud to start a fresh clean life without the dreaded nic.:)

Well done Grumpy Mum on starting your quit. Hope you feel better soon. I am sure you will. I did the patches and felt similar to you and I also found I had loads of energy that I never had before. Keep posting on here as you will find loads of help and useful information (especially from john, cword and CatWoman). Also some good banter which also helps you to forget about the cigs.

It will get better (even if it feels like it will never end). Take deep breaths, drink a lot of water and go outside for a walk when it gets too much are good tips. and most importantly - take it ONE day at a time.

My sister (who has now been quit for over 20 years ) recommended cleaning your teeth every time you got a crave. Worked for her, and she has a lovely smile ;)
