June Quitters

Over the last couple of days it has been alleged that the NSD crew (thats us...!) are unwelcoming and non supportive bunch of "hooligans".

Anyone with eyes can see that is blatantly not true - I put a good percentage of my success at quitting down to this forum and (most of its) members.

The accusations really annoyed me in so much as not only were they without foundation, but more so that GENUINE newcomers to this site might read them and believe them to be true. Thus depriving people in need of support a valuable resource.

So here is a roll call for all the recent members who've just joined us:

After creating this thread I found this:

1. Join this forum at least once.

2. Select no-smoking weapon

3. Stub out last fag.

4. Enter forum.

5. Post widely and wildly, preferably on every thread. If the thread isn’t relevant to your quit make it so.

6. Join the forum at least once more.

7. Alienate 50% of the forum and befriend the other 50%

8. Change sides.

9. Apologize

10. Retire to bed

11. Repeat the following day but don’t stub out any fags.

It may appear haphazard and bizarre but it certainly stops you smoking.

In times of stress there’s always someone here to offer support or failing that there’s usually a target for your aggression..!!

Welcome Skylight (or can I call you Sky for short - my little fingers are getting tired now). Seriously, good luck with your quit and especially enjoy this forum, its brill, or ace or whatever.
