Day 8 And Its Getting Harder

I am using patches and am on my 8th day without fags. Its getting harder. I do feel a little better in the mornings but not that good that I dont want a smoke. I would love one now. I feel I will never be happy again, but am determined to keep at it. I have saved approx £70. Can anyone tell me how you work out how many days you have added to your life??

  • hi rowan, ive asked and she is smoking wif the door open so its not so bad, have you read the online smoking course with alan carr its really good , thats how i quit cold turkey:)

  • To find out how many days you have saved off your life, type in quit smoking counter on google and download one :D

I know how you feel about the 8th day.

I originally quit on the 1st of January this year and kept having blips until this last quit, for some reason i just couldnt get past that 2nd week.

Between days 8 and 12 i just found unbearable. I am using patches too and have been from the start. When i started this quit, i went to see the nurse and told her the patches alone wasnt enough and she prescribed me some nicotine gum and thats what pulled me through the 2nd week. Everytime i had a nasty craving in that 2nd week i chewed a piece of gum, and its absolutely disgusting. It tastes just like chewing on a fag end so every time i ate some it reminded what it would taste like to have a fag and it put me off.

Get through that second week and im sure you`ll fly through :D
