Hello, I'm new. I'm a 25 years old woman from the netherlands and I've smoked for about 5/6 years and yesterday I quit. The reasons... because both my parents died of lunc cancer and I have asthma. But you know... knowing you should quit is easy, doing it is another.
I quit once seriously for 4 months then I broke and started smoking again. The last 2 years I've been battling on smoking/quiting and the last months I've accepted I was a smoker and now I'm ready to just not smoke.
I use patches though.

Welcome Lyne, I'm so glad when someone else joins the forum and quits
Your reasons are so very significant honey, I'm sure your parents would be touched and really proud of you. Stick to your decision and make it last forever, I can assure it's so less stressful than obesssing over smoking/quitting - something I know too well since it's what I've done for the past I guess 3 years at least, before finding the sudden inspiration to quit. I am a much more relaxed person now
Welcome Lyne, great decision to quit! We're all here for you.. I lokk forward to seeing going through the days and weeks! Keep strong and keep talking.
