well done

Hey well done to you for getting to day 3. :)

Day 3 for me too - not feeling as bad as yesterday although still have that sick feeling. Think it may have been the patches although i dont remember feeling like this last time i used them. Have you used patches before?

Susy;)

Goodmorning Susy

and congratulations on getting to day 3 :D thats really good to hear!

I used patches when i tried to quit last year and they really knocked me about, i couldnt sleep and they made me itch!

i think iy could have been a reaction to the patches, thats why im not using them this time round, this time it's cold turkey! it may get stale, but i can feel the benefits already, i've been with my girlfriend 8 months and the last three days is the only time shes ever kissed me and not tasted fags!

it was so nice to hear her say it too! i cant wait to have kicked this affliction and continue with my life!

pat on the back

i think we all deserve a bit pat on the back as we have all done so well:):):)

Jimi, i know what you mean about the smell, its not nice when your daughter tells you that you smell when you only want to give her a cuddle  Still, not any more...lol.

Do any of you think it is easier now that they have banned smoking from almost everywhere?? I dont know about any of you but I always felt that i was almost committing a crime if I smoked outside, not that people looked at me funny, it was just a feeling that it was something you shouldnt do - wierd!

yeah i used to feel the same, as though everytime i breathed out smoke and someone walked past i was almost expecting someone to jump out and slap a hefty fine on me! in fact that reminds me,

last week i was in greggs near to where i work when a woman approached the shop smoking, and then as she entered the shop she flicked the butt of her cigarette on the floor outside, walked to the counter and out of nowhere a warden storms into the shop, drags her outside and slaps a £70 fine on her!

im so glad i dont have to worry about that anymore :) because im not quitting smoking.

I've QUIT smoking :D

You have kicked it! The minute that last cig is put out you're a non-smoker.

Congratulations :)

Thanks hbav your right :)

todays been difficult, the cravings have not been as bad but its been difficult trying to find a distraction, i actually went in the shop i always buy cigarettes from and the guy said "the usual boss?" and i had the strength to tell him "no thanks, i've quit" and i just bought a bottle of tizer :)

it's nearly time for me to finish work now, so the boredom should be gone! and therefore i'll be easier to distract (going to the girlfriends is gonna help :P )

Thanks for all the support today guys, and good luck to Ruth, Andy, Anna and the others, i WILL see you all in day 4 tomorrow - stay strong everyone
