I have heard high praise for it from most people. It seems to work.
Hi Mrs terry, theres loads of peeps on here who have taken the course of champix and successfully not gone back to smoking.
I for one stopped on 3rd July - over 6 months now. Stopped taking tablets in October.
When the time comes, the trick is to wean yourself off them over a period of time. I must admit I just stopped taking them (i kept forgetting to take them for days on end) and I had some minor cravings. Given the chance again Id stop a bit more gradually - just a small tip for the future.
Theres loads and loads of success stories for champix on here.
Dont worry too much at the moment, just enjoy stopping smoking !
Hi Mrs Terry, did you go to your doctors today? If so, did he prescribe Champix for you? I hope that he did, they really are very good. If they work for me, after smoking 40+ for 47 years, they must be. :D Speak to you soon.
Hi Mrs T., I stopped taking Champix rather prematurely due to lack of information and although i had a rough patch at the time (October) I am fine now and, more to the point re your question: I didn't want to smoke then and I don't now! that's not to say that I don't sometimes crave a fag, I do but it's easily controllable. Ok, you can argue that I'm not out of the woods yet but each day of not smoking makes the habit of smoking more remote. So my message to you is: don't worry about the future, if you can handle the present, the future will look after itself. HTH
