Not Unusual, In Fact I Still Have Days Im Tired, Then The Next Day Full Of Energy. But All The Bad Things Will Go Away For Good, Only The Good Bits Stay, Hurray, Stay Strong X
Hi Nedford. Congrats on the quit!
I know EXACTLY what you mean (although I've been having problems sleeping too). I just can't get motivated to do anything, its taking all my energy to just sit here at the computer, and I haven't been to college for a week. So rest assured you're not alone, it's just a really rubbish thing to happen...
Apparently you get loads of energy after a while though! So thats something to look forward to...
Welcome on board Nedford!
Congrats on your quit and coming so far!!
Doing so very well x x x x
It is common to feel lethargic, your body is going through so many changes! it won't come over night x x
Hand on my heart after a while, energy is better than ever!! and sleep comes easily!!

Stay strong

thanks everyone. felt like i was all alone in my quitting. the cravings are becoming managable and i just get the occassional want now. so glad to hear that being so tired is not unusual. what about being constpiated? have been so for over a week now. just wondering if all these things are from the non smoking. thanks again for all your support.

I am a lady so don't have to ever do the above
But from what I hear *Ahem* Constipation is very common too

Hi Nedford,
Well I have opted for the Cold Turkey method (purely because I am a cheap stake) and haven't suffered from Constipation since giving up smoking... Probably something to do with the amount of junk food I eat
However I can sympathize with your situation, I was constipated for about 10 days many years ago now (About 8 years ago). The problem I had was I kept permanently eating still, but nothing was happening. I kid you not we are talking Pizza Huts, numerous Burger Kings... 3 Meals a day for over a week... I actually said to a colleague that I believed I had evolved into the perfect Human, where my body was using everything that I was eating (This was the colleague who offered to insert a laxitive up my back side, and I just turned around and said, hey dude that's one way traffic only down there But the thought was there...).
Needless to say after about 10 days I made a made dash to the toilet and all was better with life again, I also got a standing ovation as everyone at work knew my situation and they also knew when it was over.
Turns out I think it was those "Kellogg's Nutrigrain Bars", after my ordeal I got my brother to eat one out of curiosity (Didn't tell him what had happened to me until he'd eaten it :D). Sod me he then gets the same problem, constipated, the only problem was he was a mobile computer engineer so spent most of his time in a car, so he was nervous (Plenty of fields in East Anglia though).
Anyhow, it's not a nice situation, I have been there (not through not smoking though), and I hope everything sorts it self out soon.
It is Nicotine withdrawal, Nicotine has a laxative effect.
niiiiccccceeeee
When your body settles down from the withdrawal, everything returns to normal regularity
I founs a sleep more during the first couple of weeks but that was just so the days went quicker and i didnt think of smoking.
