Hi everybody, and sorry for my last week of coming and going. Anyway, I have made my decision. The most important decision of my life. No more tooing and frowing. I smoked my last cigarrette at 1pm this afternoon and took great delight in soaking all the others in the sink and chucking them in the bin
. I am not going to be dictated too any longer. The only thing that was keeping me trapped was the illusion of what the next cigarette would do for me. (yes I've watched the Alan Carr DVD, and read the books, but this time it has sunk in).

Hi again Looby
Don't worry about coming and going - Hell girl I've done that for nigh on 7 mths!!!!
You are here and thats the only thing that matters. No one judges here so dont you go saying sorry girl ,the only time to be sorry is when you give up trying to quit. Glad ACarr's book made sense to you- some people (like me! have read it over and over and still can't figure it out - yet other books seem to make pefect sense to me} Maybe I'm just ODD he He Anyway glad your'e here .
Kx
PS The one (yes I managed to understand ONE!) thing that I did get when reading AC was the fact that all a cig will do for you is make you want another 30mins later.TRUE
thank you everybody. Still feeling really positive. In fact I just took my daughter to the shop for some High School Musical Stickers and didn't buy cigs. OMG. That is a first for me. Think I have turned a corner. When I was in the shop I did think "bloody hell it would have been cheaper to buy 10 cigs, but then thought well not really cos then I would have to carry on buying them everyday. And anyway, why would I buy them if I dont smoke anymore. WAHOOO!!! Am prepared mentally for the next couple of days. I know its gonna be tough. I am thinking positively now. Thanks Lou xx
Hey Looby, congrats on the official first day of your quit! and you sound happy about it, which is the right attitude to have
Dude you'll see how easy life is without smoke - not needing to obsess over when/how/where we'll be able to smoke our next one, OMG I find that to be such a relief!
See that Looby..
You are done! You passed a huge test!!! Yeah!!!! I think I had 3-4 trips out in my first and second week where I was tempted to buy them but I didn't. After I got home I was so proud of myself that I persevered!
CONGRATS!!!
