Today I am nearly half way through week 8 which should be great cause for celebration except today I have had about as bad a day as I've had throughout and that doesn't feel good at all.
For the last two days in fact I've had a mild headache, shakey hands, concentration difficulties, foggy thought processes and i just generally feel incredably tense and edgey. It's not enough to just put this down to the nicotine addiction, these are obviously the symptoms of something specific and I just wish I knew what I could do to lessen them because it's not just that it feels rotten, having a foggy head is affecting my ability to do my job.
Anyway that's my rant for today.
I sincerely hope that everyone is having a better day than me.

I wish it were a bug but it's not. This is classic quit smoking symptoms but I wouldn't expect to be experiencing such a hard time this long into the quit.
Dickyboy, its funny it seems to hit when you least expect it, last time I gave up I had colds really quickly, this time not too bad, concentration levels really bad and often get dizzy, still look round to see if I have lost something but know that I haven't. Get well soon.
Sorry about your bad days I have had a few in this quit but they are short lived and had more good days than bad. Hears hoping things will improve for you both soon Love Linda xxx
sorry to read that your feeling bad today! ive not felt to brilliant today either. im on day 41 my 6th week. im getting anoid with my own mood swings now and wondering if im always gonna feel so miserable, i do have good days, but also a lot of days like your describing just recently!
Thanks everyone for your support and understanding. I feel fine today but yesterday was my third day in a row feeling as taut as a piano wire. It kind of illustrates just how much depriving your body of nicotine can throw everything out of balance and how long it can take for your body to regain some sort of equilibrium.
I reckon until that happens I need to find a temporary means of alleviating the specific symptom. Any suggestions??
