8 weeks

Here we have it, today marks the end of my first 8 weeks of not smoking.

5 days until 2 calendar months.

I am very proud of this particular milestone because I have had some very challenging times over the last 10 days or so, and come through them. Anyone who has been reading the forum will know what has been going on.

However, today I feel fine - and it is only today that matters for the moment.

No cravings, no problems and I feel pretty good. OK, the leg hurts.... but I can ignore that for the moment.

To follow recent tradition, here is an article that has helped me in my quest to be mentally ready for anything - Clicky Linky

Well done Stuart,

For anyone with an affinity to processor based systems multiples of 8 have great significance. :D

I therefore award you the Zilog Z80 Medal for 8 weeks clean.

I hit 16 weeks yesterday and thus award myself the Intel 80286 Medal. :D:D

Seriously well done though, keep that mind in the right place and the tales are a constant source or inspiration.

All the best

Nic

Hey... I thought I was meant to be an IT geek!

Congrats on 16 weeks, mate - very well done.

My area of knowledge is very outdated, I grew up as a major geek, playing computer games on Spectrums and Amstrads, and eventually found that cracking the protection systems and mucking about with the code was often more challenging and entertaining than the game!
