Hi

its been 13 days now, nearly 2 weeks. Its not been too bad so far, but saturday nights are a killer!!!! have done 2 sats now, so i am pleased with myself (and hubby as well). What i would like to know is, at what point do you stop thinking about it all the time? As soon as i wake up in the morning, its the first thing i think of. If i knew, i would have a goal to aim for. BTW, i am on champix, which is very good, i dont think i could have got this far without it!!!

Welcome to thew site sandie x x

Well done for quitting! nearly into week 3

It is different for everyone x x

personally i felt like you at around week 3-4 but then to weeks 5 or six i felt much better x x

As different as it is for everyone, these ups and downs are common to most, hold tight and remember that the long term outcome is far better than this short time niggley period! :D

Stay strong x x ~Buffy x x

Hi Sandy

I thought about smoking constantly for 3-4 weeks. I thought when is this going to get easier. It does come. All of a sudden , out of the blue, i said to hubby , i havent thought about cigs 2day.What a welcome feeling that was.The fight was worth it.Keep going and it will get better.

Keep stronge

How Long

Its now day 9 for me and hubby, and as you say, weight is going on, usual places. Mind you food is good though provided you eat the right things (as buffy says where is my cake/chocolate etc), still lets get this over with and then diet and exercise (ugh!! hate it) but needs must I suppose. Keep it up, any new pics from anyone, showed the office smoking one to friend thought it hilarious, anymore where that came from.

hehehe

Rule of thumb is generally 6 months minimum! of no smoking before dieting, the body will settle down as will eating habits etc so from 6 months on you should of settled at a weight as such.
