Have made it through week three without too many traumas, one or two shakey moments, but on the whole not that bad really.
Thing is there's a week 3 posting area and then second month, so in theory that means I can't post during the course of the next week without causing the BB adminstrators to pull at their hair and nash their teethwebsmileys.com/sm/mad/332.gif

Changing the subject slightly I'd like to know what people's relationship with food is since quitting.
Last time I quit - for about 9 months I managed not to change my eating habits too much and only put on about 6 kilos over that 9 months.
This time has been different and I'm ravenously hungry all the time and giving free reign to my foodly urges. .I've been scoffing stuff like egg and bacon butties between meals and eating enormous amounts at meal times. In the last three weeks I've put on a kilo per week which doesn't bode well for say ten weeks from nowWisdom would probably suggest snacking on carrot sticks or apples or something obvious like that, but the problem is when I get that foody head on I want satisfying amounts of stodgey fatty salt laden food, not carrot sticks or sun dried apricots.
I am going to the gym, but the amount of exercise I'm doing really aint gonna accomodate my new found robust apetite and I don't want to be a fat person.websmileys.com/sm/crazy/129...

haha!!
Ah you always got to have the last word Muzzy happens to be one of my favorite drawings from the days when i was clearly youthful and sexy.
Me and food have a great relationship!! i was just under 8 stone up until i quit smoking, i am now 9 1/2 stones!!!!!
Just going with the flow at the minute, started gym regular so hopefully it'll change again. I have changed my lifestyle a lot so need to give myself a chance to settle before actively changing anything else!
Luckily though i am eating lots of not too unhealthy stuff. I find eggs quite good as they keep me fuller for longer. I also like chorizo and cheese not too healthy granted but not too bad either.
I would say that the weight / food ratio will slow down. Keep yourself indulged through the quit and reassess the situation after 6 months.
If you can't stuff yourself silly when quitting smoking when can you?!
