Come on you can do it first few days are the worse but will get better. my partner was the same but he is on day 14 now and is doing better than me. I am on day 36 never thought I would ever give up been smoking for 32 years and was on 40 day in the end. You will feel so much better good luck Linda

36 days.... what do you do (or used to do) when you had had the feeling for a smoke controlling you?
am trying gums (not nico.) trying drinking all sort of juices
but nothing works
Hi Adam It has been proven that smoking makes stress worse!! I know we all went for the fags in stressfull situations and thought it made us feel better but apparantly its not the case I keep telling myself the stress will still be there even if i do smoke

I am sorry your struggling on the quit but you must know your not alone x x
It's not easy, having gone more than 24 hours you also know that you can crave and not smoke! Hold that thought! Craves come and go so you could try occupying yourself between these times (which will become less intense and less frequent) sip water, walk around, deep breath and imagine anything you desire! Imagination is a great tool!! Also, nothing like a great almighty primal scream to ease the stress !!
Little Sue is absolutly right!! Smoking does not ease the stress, can you ever remember a time when something stressed you and the stress had actually gone after a smoke?
As linda says it's a struggle, even on day 36 (wow linda that went fast!! nice one!!) but it eases and the rewards are far greater than the conciquences!
It gets easier and easier.
