Do you think 4 weeks is enough time to see. Rise in grf? Stopped all pains meds and Ibprofen. My dr

Says I can stay on my lorazapam1mg for me not

Sleeping. I have been on that for yrs. drinking 5 bottles a day of water. Just makes me urinate a lot. Any advice would be great?

Thank you😊 I still have my foot pain from surgery but take anything. But due to the fact o have increased by water intake I have been urinating so much. Always had a small bladder and always going. Small lower back pain but happened after thanksgiving so I thought it could be because lifting the turkey. Sore not sharp pain at all. Dull but still do my excercise to stay fit. Happy Holidays to you all and thanks again

Hi, you sound a bit like me. I was a heavy user of NSAIDs for various reasons without being told it could damage my kidneys. I wasn't even told I was at stage 3 until five years after a blood test showed it up. Dr said its not much of a big deal, I was horrified but it was after being on this site that I realised how common it is and that you can function reasonably well for quite some time on reduced kidney function if you look after yourself, drink plenty of water, stop the over the counter NSAIDs , have 6 monthly blood tests and take note of your potassium count as I think that affects what you can eat. Mine is ok, doc said I can eat what I want within reason but if potassium is a problem then you should restrict things like tomatoes, bananas , avocado etc. After my surprise diagnosis, and 3 blood tests down the line, my reading has gone up from 49 to 54 so some improvement can be made . So, no NSAIDs, water, bloods, regular exercise, and I'm sure others on this site who are more clued up about the numbers can advise more. All the best. 😊

Thank you for your comment. My grf was 52

Last yr and now 37. My

Creatine is 1.48. Don't

Understand the big drop.

No high blood pressure.

No diabetes. No protein

or blood in urine. Very scared that my life will be cut short. Have to wait until 12/18 for another

Blood work. Need some support in this.

That does seem a big drop in a year for no obvious reason. I don't see why you should have to wait so long for another test. When mine improved I was told 12 months for my next one, before I was having them every 6 months and I think you should insist on it being sooner. It's your body, your life! It all boils down to this blasé attitude they have to CKD, they think that as you can still function pretty well at that number they aren't concerned until you reach dialysis stage but that is shortsighted at the very least you could ask to see a dietician?

"Hi camps I am in the same boat as you for no reason I dropped 15 points in one year from 45 to 30. This is very scary to me Doctors don't know why it seems only higher power knows whats in storefor my kidneys. Thank God for the forums a lot of information is around to look at and we know that knowledge is power. I spent about seven years in stage three and I just dropped to four. You don't have to wait for the doctors bloodwork - I personally go to private labs in between tests; yes it cost me money yet I want to know what is going on and be able to see it for my self. God-speed to all of us."

Thank you chima 13 but to go to a lab you need a doctors

script and since my ins co pays for my blood work in full im going to have it run in another 3 weeks and if he refuses I am going to to see a specialist. I have been on my last nerve since 11/16 since i was told this and he wants me to wait 4 weeks to repeat the tests but have been going weekly to check bp and is excellent. going on 12/17 and fu 12/21 and hope it is good news

Thank you for the info.

I had surgery with

anthesia on 9/29 and

Went for blood work on

10/19 and was taking pain

Meds and ibuprofen for 3

Weeks straight and was

Really not drinking enough water and was told that could be a

Problem. On 12/18 I'm

Repeating my bw and hope that is enough time

To see an increase in my

Numbers. Just been very

Worried . I have checked

My previous bs since 2009

And have ranged from 51-56 . No diabetes or high

Blood pressure or do not

Have potassium problems.

Don't understand. Thanks for reading.
