Itchy Skin
What causes itchy skin in CKD is VERY high phosphorous. Get that checked and if it is high, there are binders to help bring it down. But usually, this condition does not happen until way later stages of CKD. So, I would look for other causes like dry skin, laundry detergent or soap you use or something you are eating.
I am CKD stage 3a, up from 3b since following advice on this site. I had Eczema for years. The itching drove me mad! steroid creams eased it but didn't stop it. Then I was advised to use high urea cream, I got a 42% cream from Amazon, used it several times daily for a few weeks and the eczema went and so far has never returned.
Chances are it is not CKD. You don't usually have those symptoms of itchy skin till you are in Stage 5 and need dialysis. I have had a transplant, and my phosphorous is normal. I have itchy dry skin because we have incredibly hard water - so after showering I use moistening cream and have to use fabric softener when I do laundry. If condition continues you should see a dermatologist. It could be a reaction to one of your meds too. Hard to tell, but it's too early in your CKD journey.
