Is it true that drinking a lot of water the day before labs can lower creatinine? I've read it does and also it doesn't.

It can lower it some. But you want your labs to show "true" values. You need to follow your daily routine and not change it just because you are having your labs done. You should be staying hydrated every day, not just the day before you having labs done.
It can help a little but transplant patients should be doing this every day anyway. Lower protein diets, often vegetarian can also help a little, but neither are radical. The point is really don’t change what you normally do, just best not have a large steak & beers the night before.
